The following links were used in planning our trip on the John Muir Trail. These links include selections of gear, ultra-light information, trail and related user forums, National Park and Forest Service web-pages, web-cam pages (to help watch the snow melt!), snow pack summary data, re-supply information and just general information on the trip. I also found eBay to be a useful site to obtain books about the trail as I could get reasonable prices for used books and decent conditions. I'm sure there are many more sites out there not included on these lists, but these were the ones I found and thought useful. YMMV!
