If you are thinking of getting an embroidery machine, you will need a digitizing program to manage your files and create new ones. I use Embird, the Machine-Independent Embroidery Software. It takes a bit to get used to since there are so many features built into the software. Once you get the hang of it, it can really do a lot for you.
My local store and place I take my classes from is The Christmas Goose. The staff there is very nice and I like the people who frequent the store. I have met a lot of nice quilter's through the Goose. Andrea and Jeanette are some of the nicest there are. They are always willing to help you out. You should stop by and say hello.
